George Stein was a French artist, working in Paris, who specialized in painting the era of the Belle Époque in London, Paris and Nice. A fine example of his work is in the Musée Carnavalet in Paris, and depicts the Champs-Elysées in the early 1900s, with numerous horse drawn carriages and Parisian Society parading in their finery. Stein exhibited at the Society of French Artists and mainly painted the Grand Boulevards in Paris.
